Santa Fe Soul Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charity that is helping to heal the inequality and injustice in healthcare by providing greater access to holistic healthcare treatments and education for the people of New Mexico. Our programs work to increase individual and community wellness by promoting life long health through natural and preventative measures.
Many people's understanding of healthcare is based on the short-term care they receive in emergency rooms when a health crisis strikes. Oftentimes, patients are given minimal information about their conditions and offered very few treatment options besides invasive surgery or new-to-nature pharmaceuticals. Too many people are falling victim to our dominant healthcare system's fragmented, costly, disempowering, and sometimes-dangerous approach to health care. Studies show that interventions used by Western medicine are currently the third-leading cause of death in the United States.
By encouraging prevention, natural remedies, safer treatments, education, and greater access to whole being care, Santa Fe Soul Foundation is helping to grow the sustainable healthcare movement. We are a collection of caring practitioners, organizations, and individuals who share a dream of healthcare that is accessible to all people, holistic, integrated, and sustainable.
